WELCOMING

No matter where people have been, what they have done, or what they look like, they are welcome at MBC.  We invite all to seek out Life in Christ, experience Life Together, and allow Jesus to express His Life through them in selfless service to others.

LIFE IN CHRIST

Jesus tells us in John 10:10 that He “came that they might have life and have it abundantly.” And then He and other writers of Scripture testify that Jesus is Life (Jn. 1:4, Jn. 11:25, Jn. 14:6,1 Jn. 1:1-2). The abundant life is not found in our situations/circumstances of life or in spiritual activity but rather in Jesus Himself who gives Himself to us at the moment we place our faith/trust in Him for salvation. He becomes our Source for all of life.

LIFE TOGETHER

We grow in our awareness and experience of the Life of Christ in us in the context of relationships. God uses others to teach us and to be a support and encouragement to us, and He uses us to teach others and to be a support and encouragement to them. Therefore, we seek to be in relationship with others as we look to the Life of Christ to be at work in us and through us.

LIFE EXPRESSED

Jesus comes to live in us so that He can express His Life through us. We are His instruments in this world that He uses to serve others so that they experience His love, mercy, and grace available to them. He uses us here and around the world to express His Life to others.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe that the Scriptures are inspired by God, inerrant and authoritative, without error in the original writing, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in one God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, born of the virgin Mary; we believe that Christ shed his blood on the cross, dying for our sins as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that he arose bodily from the grave and ascended into heaven.

We believe that all individuals are separated from God by sin and can only find forgiveness and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Trinity, equal with God the Father and God the Son; he indwells every believer from the moment of salvation, making them a new creation and empowering them for a life that is honoring to God.

We believe that all true believers are members of the universal church regardless of organizational affiliation.
